Abiding Citizen was first founded in 2016 by husband and wife duo Chad and Teri-Lynn Friesen. What once started as a hobby and shared passion for mixology led them to experiment and create flavourful cocktails elevated by the additions of their very own handcrafted bitters, shrubs and syrups. We partnered with Abiding Citizen for their brand identity as well as printed material including business cards and packaging. The goal was to bring their products to the Winnipeg market and to help them establish brand awareness through elevated design, exceptional packaging and eye-catching photography.
Inspired by prohibition, each product is distilled non-alcoholically allowing endless opportunities for diversified cocktails lovers. It was this founding principle that guided the design - vintage-styled letterforms evoke historically rooted character while modern graphic elements ground the design in the present.
Eye-catching curated photography showcase a cohesive, bespoke and unforgettable brand experience. Both novice and diehard enthusiasts can envision each sip, inspiring an elevated cocktail experience.
A refined and elevated approach to the branding and packaging matches the passion and attention to detail instilled in every Abiding Citizen product. Their mission - through their collection of small-batch bitters, shrubs and syrups - is to capture curiosity, expand creativity and inspire cocktail lovers near and far.
